Its development underscores a statewide initiative aimed at addressing the opioid crisis through enhanced community resources and support tools.

Designed primarily to assist Arkansans in administering naloxone—a critical medication for reversing opioid overdoses—the app offers both written and audio instructions in English, Spanish, and Marshallese (with ongoing development). Additionally, it provides a direct emergency option to contact 911, following established protocols for overdose response.

Beyond overdose intervention, ReviveAR functions as an informational resource on substance misuse. Users can report successful naloxone rescues, locate nearby naloxone replacement supplies and training sessions, and access comprehensive materials on prevention, treatment options, recovery pathways, and family support services. The app also features a tool to identify local Arkansas Drug Take Back boxes for the safe disposal of unused prescriptions and offers further insights into the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership's initiatives.

Targeted toward all residents of Arkansas, the app aims to empower communities to enhance their capacity to prevent, respond to, and recover from opioid use disorder.
